Who We Are. Why We Cast.

What We Make: Modern Concrete Elevated

At Calhoun & Co, we craft architectural elements using UHPC (Ultra-High Performance Concrete) and GFRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete). These materials combine strength, elegance, and precision.

Our pieces are hand-cast in small batches, never mass-produced. Each one is made from natural ingredients: cement, fine sand, mineral pigments, and pozzolans. No synthetic resins. No artificial fillers. Just thoughtful craftsmanship and coastal grit.

To protect and preserve the surface, we use a reactive ceramic-based sealer that penetrates deep into the concrete. It bonds at the molecular level to resist stains, moisture, and wear without changing the natural look or texture.

What sets our work apart:

  • Strength and Beauty: UHPC and GFRC allow for thin, seamless profiles that are up to four times stronger than traditional concrete.

  • Sustainable and Natural: Our mixes are durable, VOC-free, and built to last for generations.

  • Artisan Quality: Every form is shaped, polished, and sealed by hand. No two are alike. Each one tells a story.

This isn’t concrete like you’ve seen before. It’s warm. Organic. Intentional.

It’s sculpture you can live with.

What happens when an engineer and a nurse practitioner chase a passion?

Calhoun & Co. is born.

Rooted in the Lowcountry, we’re a husband-and-wife team obsessed with timeless design, lasting materials, and the kind of craftsmanship that doesn’t cut corners.

Every piece we make is custom designed with care, built by hand, and made to elevate the spaces you live in.

This is a return to old-world craftsmanship in a modern world.

We don’t just build products. We design, build, and furnish. From first sketch to final install, we help bring your vision to life through functional art.

Whether it’s a monolithic fireplace, a custom vanity, or a one-of-a-kind outdoor table, our work is made to last and made to mean something.
